Barista (Part-time)

Wage: $14.50 – 17.50 per hour (plus up to an additional $5 per hour with tips)

Wired Café is looking for an experienced Barista with a passion for delivering exceptional, personalized customer service to join our team. As a Barista you will:

• Produce food and drink creations that inspire
• Work at the intersection of amazing coffee, great food and lively entertainment
• Help to foster a café experience that leaves guests satisfied every visit

Essential Responsibilities

• Receive and process customer payments
• Prepare and serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, and teas
• Take customer orders and convey them to other crew members for preparation
• Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
• Describe menu items to customers and suggest products that might appeal to them
• Support kitchen duties as needed including setting up workstations, preparing ingredients, following recipes, operating standard kitchen equipment, checking quality of ingredients and ensuring all food and other items are stored properly

Summary of Experience

• Prior experience working in a food service environment is preferred

Qualifications

• Ability to work early mornings (often)
• Ability to work Saturdays (often)
• Ability to work evening (occasionally)
• Have or willing to acquire a Food Handler’s Permit
